2022: Quranforsoul in GB

March 26, 2023

Quranforsoul foundation turned to Great Britain in 2022, offering the Holy Quran translated into English to British Muslims. Indeed, there is nothing like God's words to spread love, peace, and mutual respect for all.

Muslims represent an important religious minority in Great Britain, with an estimated population of around 3 million people, or approximately 5% of the country's total population. This population is very diverse, with varied ethnic origins, including from the Indian subcontinent, North Africa, the Middle East, and Southeast Asia.

Muslim immigration to Great Britain began as early as the 1950s, but it accelerated in the 1960s and 1970s, when the British government encouraged immigration of workers to meet the increasing demand for labor. Since then, the Muslim population has steadily grown, particularly due to the high birth rate in the community.

British Muslims are present in all aspects of British society, including politics, media, business, culture, and the arts. Many British Muslims have succeeded in various fields, including politics, with members of parliament and mayors of large cities.

However, British Muslims have also faced significant challenges, such as discrimination, Islamophobia, and prejudice. Since the London bombings in 2005, British Muslims have been subjected to increased stigma and suspicion, often associated with terrorism.

Despite these challenges, British Muslims have worked to promote interfaith understanding and build bridges between different communities in the country. Many British Muslim organizations work to provide social and charitable services, as well as to promote civil rights and equality.

This is why the Quranforsoul foundation turned to Great Britain in 2022, offering the Holy Quran translated into English to British Muslims. Indeed, there is nothing like God's words to spread love, peace, and mutual respect for all.

Thanks to our partnership with the Muslim Welfare House in London, as well as the Aljumuah Foundation, 40,000 copies of the Holy Quran with English translation were made available to the British Muslim public in 2022. This achievement was made possible through your generosity, and it is with the continuation of your support that we can continue this quest for knowledge and support for those who need the light of God's words.
